Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum 300 N Dixie Hwy, West Palm BeachPlease join the LWVPBC Outreach Committee on Thursday February 24th at 10:30AM at the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum for a private tour of the exhibit “More Than a Game: Champions in the Midst of Desegregation”. The tour will be led by Historical Society of Palm Beach County staff member Lise Steinhauer. Meet the 1968 Maroon Devils and their basketball coach, Floyd Andrews, from Roosevelt, the all-Black high school in West Palm Beach until 1970. Taught not to use racism as an excuse, they made history while integration made slow progress in athletics and education. Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum 300 N Dixie Hwy. West Palm Beach Admission is free. All donations are accepted. ($5.00 suggested) Parking is available in metered spaces on 3rd St. and in the 4th St. lot. Co-hosted by the Sierra Club Loxahatchee Group and the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County, this panel presentation will include: + Ankush Bansal, MD is a traveling hospitalist board-certified in Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine and is currently Voluntary Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Florida International University in Miami. The Governor-Elect of the Florida Chapter of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Bansal is the -founder and co-chair of Florida Clinicians for Climate Action, co-founder of Climate Reality Project Palm Beach (now part of the Boca chapter), a board member of the Florida Physicians for Social Responsibility, a COP participant with the Global Climate & Health Alliance, and a Climate for Health Ambassador. His professional interests are preventive medicine through lifestyle change and climate change. Based in Delray Beach, he is the 2021 Physician "Hero" for the Palm
