An Insider’s Guide to Local Political Issues & Trends
Guest Speaker: Tony Doris, Editorial Page Editor of The Palm Beach Post and published author.
Bio: Tony Doris is Editorial Page Editor for The Palm Beach Post. He writes editorials, curates the daily opinion essays and edits the letters to the editor and locally written guest columns.
Doris arrived at the Post in 2004, after many years covering business, law and real estate in Miami-Dade County. He joined the paper as an investigative reporter and later served as assistant watchdog editor, and city hall reporter covering West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and other communities.
He previously worked at the Tampa Bay Times, New Haven Register and Journal-Courier, the Tahiti Sun-Press in French Polynesia, CBS Newsradio and the Arlington (Mass.) Advocate, the latter a weekly published out of an historic house down the street from Paul Revere’s Trail.
The Post’s editorial pages focus on community issues as well as Tallahassee developments and their potential impact on Palm Beach County readers, in print and online. Doris, editorial writer Douglas Lyons and columnist Frank Cerabino are focused on our county’s and state’s growth and the trends that will determine its future and national influence, with an eye toward the 2024 elections.
