A dynamic speaker who has been featured in the Tampa Bay Times, Miami Herald, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and NPR, Dr. Santis will discuss Florida’s current fiscal overview and budgetary challenges, particularly as it impacts housing, healthcare, and education. What changes to the State’s tax code are being considered? For example, if property taxes are cut or even eliminated, will you be helped or harmed?

Biography:
As Director of Research, Dr. Esteban Santis leads Florida Policy Institute’s research process to promote policies and budgets that expand economic mobility and strengthen quality of life for all Floridians.
At Florida Policy Institute, Dr. Santis supports the strategy and implementation of research projects, as well as provides senior expertise on state tax and budget policy analyses. His work emphasizes equity, accountability, and transparency in Florida’s fiscal management, bridging data and policy to inform actionable solutions.

Directions to the Fountains Country Club:
Enter the Fountains Country Club from Lake Worth Rd, one traffic light west of Jog Rd. After the guard gate, the Club House is on your right at the large bronze and gold sign. Park at any available space.
-The gate at Melaleuca Ln and Jog Rd is for residents only. If your GPS takes you there, continue North on Jog Rd and turn left at Lake Worth Rd.
-If your GPS takes you to the Jog Rd entrance North of Lantana Rd, you can enter there, but it is easier if you continue North on Jog Rd and turn left at Lake Worth Rd. Then turn left at the 1st traffic light.
