Jupiter Candidate Forum
Moderated by League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County
On Monday, Feb 3, 2025, this year’s municipal election season got off to an informative start. More than 130 Jupiter residents attended a Candidate Forum at the Jupiter Community Center. The program was conducted by volunteers from the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County (LWVPBC), and moderated by League member Mary Jane Range.
Eight candidates for two Town Council positions and the Mayoralty answered questions from the public. The subjects covered locally important topics, including traffic, police, fire/rescue, water resources, and development. Candidates gave direct answers about their experience, priorities, and intentions should they be elected. Misunderstandings about the legality of Town Council actions and authorities were cleared up.
On March 11, ten cities and towns will hold municipal elections. The municipal elections are run by the Town Clerks.
