We encourage young people to get involved in the League and in other civic activities. High school and college students are invited as our guests to Hot Topic Luncheons, new member orientations, issue meetings, and more.

Your donations to this fund are used primarily to cover the students' fees to attend these League events, and may also be used to pay a student's League membership fee.

•   Work to protect and defend our democracy

•   Obtaining signatures on petitions

IRA owners over age 70½ can designate their required minimum distribution (RMD) be made to the LWVPBC Education Fund as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD). Doing so avoids the directly donated portion of their RMD from being taxable income, up to $105,000.

In addition to avoiding tax on the amount of the RMD, QCDs can help donors whose RMD would otherwise push them into a higher income tax bracket, and it may prevent phaseouts of other tax deductions. Consult your tax professional about the benefits and requirements.

To make a QCD, your check must go directly from your IRA Custodian to the LWVPBC. Do not click the Donate button below. Do not send a personal check.

•   Your IRA Custodian can Contact Us for directions.

•   Make checks payable to LWVPBC Education Fund, 9314 Forest Hills Blvd, Ste 770, Wellington, FL 33411-6577.
