Sherry Brown – Director of Office of Financial Management & Budget, Palm Beach County
Sherry is the current Director of the Office of Financial Management & Budget (OFMB) for Palm Beach County. Sherry earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Economics from Florida Atlantic University.
She is a native Floridian and has worked in Governmental Finance since 1996. She worked for the City of West Palm Beach for 16 years and has been with Palm Beach County since 2012. She is responsible for the County’s $6 Billion budget, fixed assets, debt management, collections, contract development, and the strategic plan and performance measures. Her department is responsible for the financial policies, which help in maintaining the County’s AAA bond rating from all three major rating agencies.
When not at work, Sherry is on a tennis court, working on a quilt or traveling with friends.
