After a quiet summer, Voter Services is preparing for a flurry of activity as the school year starts, highlighted by National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) and Constitution Week activities in local high schools and colleges.
Rather than doing registration in all 23 high schools on a single day this year, the League, in coordination with the School District, will be having NVRD events in four or five schools a day, spreading the effort over the week of Sept. 23 – 27. This will make logistics and staffing much easier than last year.
More information on NVRD events and how you can participate will be coming soon, so stay tuned. Diane Marks is coordinating the event for the League. You can reach her at: email@example.com or 561-752-8311.
Starting in mid-September, all five branches of Palm Beach State College and two Keiser University campuses will have Constitution Week events featuring voter registration by the League. Nancy Ballen is the coordinator, and she can be reached at: firstname.lastname@example.org or 845-490-0730.
VOTER REGISTRATION TRAINING SESSION IS SCHEDULED
Wednesday, August 28 from 10 – 11:30 am
Main Library, 3650 Summit Blvd., WPB 33406
RSVP to Pam Maldonado

Remember that all League members doing voter registration must be accredited by the State League. This requires 10-15 minutes of your time and a brief quiz. Contact Pam Maldonado for instructions on how to access the training module and quiz or if you have questions.
IMPORTANT! If you have not taken the quiz this year then you are not certified. Everyone’s certification was wiped out on January 1, 2019—we all have to recertify every two years.
