Tequesta Candidates for Council Seat 2
Molly Young grew up in the Tequesta/Jupiter area and is a graduate of Jupiter High School and Florida State University. She relocated to Seattle for 11 years, where she met her husband Kyle and had their daughter Ashton. Molly returned to Tequesta over 3 years ago, as they knew there was no better place to raise their family than the quaint and safe Village of Tequesta.
With a successful career and currently serving as an Alternate on The Village Planning and Zoning Board, Molly has 17 years of experience with financial budgeting and forecasting, negotiating contracts, research and analysis, and managing schedules. Her expertise, drive for excellence, and commitment will make her an asset to the Council for the residents. She has a passion to serve her community and will tirelessly uphold her duties to the Village.
Molly Young’s Priorities:
Keeping our neighborhoods safe and supporting our Fire, Police, and First Responders. They are the reason we are the third safest city in Florida.
Maintain the small-town charm of Tequesta.
Continue to enhance openness, transparency,
and accessibility to the Council.
- STRONG ECONOMY
Ensuring financial accountability and attracting new small businesses.
Support and collaborate with local businesses.
- PRECIOUS RESOURCES
Protecting our Natural Resources and continue
growing our Parks and Recreation systems.
Our roadways and pedestrian safety.
As a North Palm Beach County native I am committed to the Village of Tequesta. My family and I love the culture of Tequesta and all the great things this community offers its residents. My decision to run came after numerous conversations with current council members, local business owners, first responders, residents, and village employees. Over the past few years, the village has faced budget shortfalls that have depleted reserve accounts and hindered Tequesta’s ability to balance employee compensation, emergency reserves, capital improvements, and community events. My goals for the Village are to build reserves, plan for capital improvements, support small businesses, and build upon the wonderful culture being created by the people who live and work in our community. I believe this can be done without raising taxes and I’m proud to have the support of village residents, employees, and small businesses. I’m also proud to be endorsed by the Tequesta Firefighters and Paramedics through the IAFF Local 2298 of Palm Beach County!
