Hypoluxo Council Candidates

Council Seat at Large

Vice Mayor Richard Roney - Incumbent

Vice Mayor Richard Roney - Incumbent

As my campaign flyer has mentioned, I have served on the Hypoluxo Town Council since 2009 and the FLC Energy Legislative Policy Committee for the State of Florida from 2009 to 2016, as well as the FLC Water and Utilities Legislative Policy Committee for the State of Florida since 2016. During that period we were instrumental in converting street lights in several associations in Hypoluxo to LED’s. At Half Moon Bay Phases I & II all of the outside lights were converted to LED’s at substantial savings to the condo owners.

In 2020, the council approved the change of Hypoluxo water supply from Manalpan to Boynton Beach resulting in significant savings to our residents. As part of this conversion, the privately-owned lift stations were taken over by Boynton Beach Water Dept.

Currently, the council is working on converting the remaining septic tanks in Hypoluxo to Boynton Beach Sewer.

Stephanie Kahlert

I am running in the Town of Hypoluxo for Council Member and I want to offer my family-oriented sense of accountability to the community. I have a different kind of experience, a real-world understanding of involvement in running a local family business and volunteering in my community. It all takes hard work and passion. That is what I am willing to offer the residents of Hypoluxo, and it would be my honor to serve as a Council Member.  We are blessed to have this gem of a community be our permanent home.

I believe it is imperative to show my children the value of serving our community and in whatever time I have, I would continue to volunteer. My two children, Kinsley age 14 and Christian age 11, are currently at The King’s Academy. I truly enjoyed my time volunteering at Gulfstream School, where they stayed until 2018. I dearly appreciated being on campus helping to organize and coordinate fundraising events or other activities.

Your vote will give me the chance to contribute to the kind of community and world we all want to live in every day.
