- Advocate League positions by working with League issue groups and programs, as well as governmental actors including legislators, commissioners and board members at national, state, and local levels.
- Organize “Observer Corps” to monitor the County Commission, School Board and Municipal Commissions (Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Lake Worth, Wellington, West Palm Beach) and be a visible representation of the League. Advocacy also produces two forums per year, Legislative Preview and Legislative Wrap-up where State Senators and State Representatives from Palm Beach County address their constituents and answer questions pertaining to the upcoming or just completed legislative session.
Meetings: Observer Corps meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of the month at 1:00 pm at COMPASS Community Center, 201 N. Dixie Highway, Lake Worth, FL. 33460 (between 10th Ave. N. & 6th Ave. S., across from Publix). Advocacy meets as needed and host various workshops and training sessions throughout the year.

Sammy Alzofon named to Affordable Housing Task Force. LWVPBC is well represented on the County Affordable Housing Task Forces. We have a member on each Region’s committee, with Sammy as the coordinator.
